Weekend at Cameron Highlands (4)

After the previous depressing post, I think I should end on a high note!

I took some time early in the morning to visit a garden belonging to me mate's dad. I'm giving her dad a free plug here but I dun mind. Do try to drop by "Tan's Camelia Garden" (just before you reach Tanah Rata if you are coming from Ringlet - or just after Tanah Rata if you are heading from Tanah Rata to Ringlet)if you are at Cameron Highlands!

The sign greets you at the front!

Weekend at Cameron Highlands (3)

Unfortunately, not all is beautiful at Camerons. Here are some pics to show the "dark side" of Cameron Highlands!

I like this pic - it shows the beautiful break of dawn at Camerons - but it oso shows the haphazard wiring. This illustrates how bad planning and human technology is ruining the natural beauty of Camerons.

During a walk along one of the jungle walks (Walk #4), we came across this disgusting view just before a waterfall (where some kids were swimming in! Ugh...)

Many drain holes do not have a grille to prevent people from accidentally falling in.

The construction of a multi story car park in the heart of Tanah Rata town (I blame this for the mozzies - gigantic ones - at HCC where previously there were none!)

A sign which states "Caution" or "Warning". I found it an apt sign - if we are not careful, we could lose the natural beauty of Cameron Highlands :-(
